Rental FAQ

Where do I pick up my gear?

Once you’ve reserved your gear on our website, all you have to do is swing by Luno headquarters!

Once you arrive on the first day of your reservation window, head through the front door and you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly retail staff who will have your reserved gear ready for you!

Where do I return my gear?

Much like picking up your gear, all you have to do is bring it back to our Luno HQ: 2777 NW Lolo Dr. #130 Bend, OR 97703

Dropoff window is Monday—Friday from 10am-2pm

What is the pick up and drop off window?

We are open Monday—Friday from 10am-2pm. If this window doesn't work for you, please email [email protected].

Do you offer shipping for rentals?

No, currently we only offer pickup/dropoff at 2777 NW Lolo Dr. #130, Bend, OR 97703. However, we plan to offer a shipping option soon!

What kind of gear do you rent?

We rent out all of our Luno gear! This includes our air mattresses for SUV’s, trucks, and vans as well as all of our vehicle-camping accessories. View what gear is available here.

Every Luno mattress rental comes with a FREE cordless air pump! Additionally, every Luno mattress rental (excluding truck mattresses) comes with a FREE fitted sheet!

How do I make a rental reservation?

Simply go to www.lunolife.com/rentals, select the dates you want, add the gear to your cart, pay the $15 holding fee, and checkout!

Is there a half-day rental option?

Not at the moment the minimum rental period is one night

Can I extend my rental period?

As long as we have enough gear to fulfill other reservations, we’d be happy to have you extend your adventure! Please email [email protected] to check availability.

Can I swap out gear during my rental period if I want to try something different?

Possibly! Email [email protected] to check on availability. Additional rental fees may apply.

What if I want to purchase the gear I’m renting?

We don’t blame you! Once you’ve tried car camping it’s hard to go back. When dropping off your rented gear, let our retail staff know that you’d like to purchase some gear and they'll give you a coupon code for 15% off so that you can go to our website and purchase any gear you may need for all of your upcoming adventures!

Rental Policies & Fees

Do I have to sign a liability waiver and rental agreement to rent Luno gear?

Yes, you will complete this at the checkout of your reservation. Feel free to view it here.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance in order to receive a full refund. Just email [email protected] and they’ll take care of you!

What is your pet policy?

We love pets here at Luno! Our mattresses were even designed to be durable and stain resistant with our furry friends in mind. However, we want to be respectful of those with pet allergies. Our pet policy is that you must use one of our fitted sheets on your mattress if you plan to bring your pet on the road with you. We’ll even provide you one free of charge! Just let our retail staff know at pickup.

Sanitation Policy

In order to make sure our Luno’s meet the highest standards of hygiene possible, all Luno SUV and Van mattresses come with a FREE fitted sheet which are washed and sanitized after every use. Additionally, our retail staff carefully sanitize every Luno mattress before it’s available for the next customer. This way, you can be sure that every mattress you're sleeping on is fresh and clean!

Cleaning Fees

Returns must be made by 2pm on the last day of your reservation period. If they are not returned by this time, you will be charged a one-time late fee of $50, on top of the daily rate for each night the gear is late.

Early Returns

You are welcome to return your gear earlier than the final date on your reservation. However, you will unfortunately still be charged for those last days that you aren’t using your Luno. We encourage you to enjoy some backroad adventure for a little while longer!

We are open Monday—Friday from 10am-2pm.

Late Fees

Returns must be made by 2pm on the last day of your reservation period. If they are not returned by this time, you will be charged a one-time late fee of $50, on top of the daily rate for each night the gear is late.

Damage Fees

The customer is responsible for your rented Luno gear during their rental period. If gear is damaged beyond normal wear and tear and is beyond repair, the customer will be charged the full retail price, minus the rental fee.

Lost Equipment

Any items not returned will result in a charge up to the full retail value of the missing items, minus any holding fees/reservation costs already paid.

Rates & Payment

How much does it cost to rent Luno gear?

Prices vary based on the mattress type and accessories. 

SUV & Truck Air Mattress: $32.99 for your first night, $9.89 per additional night

Van Front Cab Air Mattress: $49.99 for your first night, $14.99 per additional night

All Accessories: Flat rate (varies by accessory type)

What is the “refundable holding fee”?

The refundable holding fee is a $15, fully refundable charge that confirms and locks in your reservation. In order to be refunded the full $15, all you have to do is pick-up and return your rental, or cancel your reservation at least 24 hours prior to your pick-up window.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards. Cash is not accepted.

Can I pay in person?

At the moment, we’re only able to accept payments via our rental page.

Do I have to put a security deposit down to rent gear?

We require all renters to pay a fully-refundable holding fee of $15. This will be fully refunded when you pick-up your gear on the selected reservation date.

Can I use a Luno gift card to pay for my rental?

At this time, we unfortunately cannot accept gift cards as payment for rental gear. Gift cards are only redeemable on lunolife.com.

Are there any additional discounts?

Discount promotions vary. Check out our Rental Page to see if there are any discounts at the moment!
